Mini-Golf Course

Construction has begun on a "Mini-Golf Course" (Putt-Putt) which is being constructed behind the existing mineral rock cairn adjacent to the tea-rooms.

This construction when finished will measure approx 25M x 18M and will be laid with a playing surface of artificial turf.

This is a family aimed project of the recently formed Royal Hutt River Golf Club and a shade structure will be built upon a concrete pad and seating will be placed under this structure so that people may sit and rest/wait a while in the shade and watch others as they play the games.

The idea of the area is to provide some sporting entertainment and fun for both individuals and particularly families visiting the Principality.

More on this later and photos will be regularly added as construction continues:.......

Update!

The surface has now been laid, the concrete "waiting" pad is complete and the shade structure is being organised for installation over this pad.

The "Holes" are about to be placed into the area as the course is mapped out and obstacles chosen and installed and the final total number of holes won't be known until the final layout and design of the course has been completed. It is hoped that 9 holes will be possible.

Whilst the Celebration weekend is fast approaching, it is hoped that even though there is still much to be done, that the course will be completed ready for the inaugural "Mini-Golf" competition to be held over that weekend and with that hope in mind, trophies have already been organised for a winner and runner-up of the inaugural tournament and winner and runner-up of an under 12's tournament of "Mini-Golf" to be held over the weekend with results to be announced during Sundays BBQ/Dance along with the trophy presentations that will also be held during that BBQ.
