"The Cavitron Fund makes available the relief and treatment of persons with brain or spinal tumours by the provision of facilities, equipment and health care not normally provided from public funds.
Sir Michael is the non-paid fund raiser for the charity and he has raised several hundred thousands of pounds over a twenty year period. Through his constant and devoted work, the Neurosurgical Department at Derriford Hospital has one of the best equipped operating theatres in the country and has saved many lives."
