The Royal Enfielder's arrived in Geraldton, together on the Friday afternoon (April 23), only 4 hours late after such an outstanding and epic effort of riding from so many locations, meeting up along the way, starting their journey from places such as Central Coast of Queensland and following the coastal road around to the Principality. They were led into Hutt from Geraldton, the action filmed continuously by a European film crew racing around the group in their small bus, camera-man hanging out the doors for that "great sequence", directions being shouted out and drummed in at every stop,

Greeted on arrival by HRH Prince Leonard they were soon directed to the new Caravan & Camping grounds where they settled in for the night to rest at last.

Up early Saturday morning, machines bought up and parked on display for the public to see and into the days activities and entertainment, starting with attending the flag raising at the secession monument as the Pipes and Drums played.
Saturday spent listening to the Geraldton City Band and the Batavia Coast Pipes & Drums, taking tours around the Principality buildings and checking out all that could be seen around the place and of course attending the Investiture Ceremony in the Chapel of Nain, an event not often seen by the public. A game or two of Mini-Golf was also experienced by a number of members (so I am told) but I believe most, if not all were disqualified from the tournament for cheating (apparently "footing" of the ball or "guiding" was carried out quite prolifically and I also heard that at least one members score-card showed that not only had he achieved a number of "hole-in-ones" but at least 2 holes owed him strokes??
The day finishing with a BBQ for many in the caravan park and for others at the take-away stalls in the entertainment area and into a few ales whilst listening to the music provided by "Local Dose" and a couple of lovely numbers sung by one of the visiting guests on the weekend, Mrs Clare McKeown  as well as some beautiful tunes played on a Penny Whistle by Dr Judy Lattas, a visiting sociologist from Macquarie University in Sydney and some members even danced!

Sunday morning saw another early start with everyone getting up to their own thing in the morning, checking out whatever each wanted to do, many attending and completing the 3+ Km round trip trek to the top of Mt Secession to pass through the "Biblical Gateway" atop the Mount. Certificates were obtained by those who took part in this "activity".
12pm saw the start of the RECOA Luncheon, a lunch put on by the Principality in Honour of the Royal Enfield Club, attended by Club Members, special invited guests and members of the public who purchased spare seats at the Lunch. A fantastic lunch of cold meats and salads of such a wide range of choices was presented and eagerly partaken of (with some members seen to take more than just second helpings?) and the deserts......what can I say? Photo's are published of just a couple of the desert choices and they tasted even better than they looked! As lunch progressed a few speeches were given on behalf of RECOA by Bruce Walker, Club President which were responded to by HRH Prince Leonard, Following the speeches and prior to the deserts being served HRH Prince Leonard and HRH Princess Shirley were presented with various gifts from RECOA, topped of with the presentation to HRH Prince Leonard of his Club Leather Vest with the Club Patch on the back as well as a handmade, first ever made, RECOA Club Flag.

Following sweets I am very pleased to thank Russel Byron & Merryl Sims of OZ Motorbike Tours who presented myself with a "Russ's Bus Ride to Hutt 2010" T-Shirt, concerns were made that they may not have had the right size made and again I assure them that had it been too big I will have grown into it soon! Club President Bruce Walker also presented me with a Chrome RECOA belt buckle which I now proudly wear as an Hon Member of RECOA.

Sunday evening was the last night of the Official Celebrations and it finished with a number of events. First up was the final BBQ dinner consisting of a huge range of salads and sides and topped off with the succulent spit roasted pork carved straight from the spit by the Spit Culinary Champion, Mr. Frank Mauger COWL., JP
(The writer was to busy working at building up to fit into the t-shirt to get photos of the actual meal in progress).

Following the meal we were entertained by Mr. John Gall as he played and sang a wide range of music and people (inc Members) entered the "Dance Off" in order to try and win a trophy and the music took a break in order for Prince Leonard to make various presentations of Certificates to those who attended the trek to Mt Secession, Certificate of thanks to those who provided entertainment over the weekend, trophies to the winners of the Inaugural Mini-Golf Challenge, trophies to the dance winners and of course the RECOA trophies which were won by:
