A "coffee morning" is held in Ridgedale Monday - Saturday every week in
the "Seniors Centre" where by giving locals the opportunity to meet in
mutual fellowship with one another and on 18 occasions the troop ran
this event.
2.
On 1st November and 23rd and 24th December members of the troop cleared
snow from the main footpath in the village.
3.
We helped sort items donated to the Salvation Army charity store in the
town of Tisdale on 6 occasions. The money raised at this store is used to
finance the following :-
| Sponsoring 10 children to go to
summer camp.

| Co-sponsoring North East Foster
Parents Christmas Party.
|
| Adopt 2 families through the
Christmas hamper programme.
|
| Gave $500 scholarship to a
Melfort high school student who is going into the field of social work.
|
| Gave $250 scholarship to a
Tisdale high school student who is going into the field of social work.
|
| Sponsor a child overseas.
|
| Co-sponsor the "Fresh IE"
concert (drug and alcohol awareness).
|
| Sponsor the Family Services
Office in Melfort and Tisdale. |

We attended the Remembrance Day Service (11th November) and laid a wreath
during the ceremony - see 2 photos below.

On 11th and 18th December the troop organised and ran the bingo sessions
held in the Community Centre - this event raises funds to help the Senior
Citizens Hall pay its way.
A busy and satisfying list of
achievements this last quarter, particularly with the increase in our
support of the Tea Mornings, which as seen a 3 fold increase in our
working efforts over the previous quarter.
