First Quarter Report 
January - March 2014:

 
       

 

             
   

Please find my report for January, February, March 2014.

Food catering duties were carried out twice for the Ridgedale Pot Luck Suppers.

Medical car - Twice local residents were transported for medical treatment to and from Nipawin and Melfort.

On five occasions one of our female members assisted making quilts that are to be sent overseas for distribution to refugees.

On six occasions during the quarter we helped sort items delivered to the Salvation Army Centre, proceeds were as usual for local charities.

Helping Hands - During the quarter seven security checks were carried out on private property. On two occasions members cleared snow from an area in a local town. Members helped prepare a local ice rink for a curling tournament. Elderly people in a rural area were taken hot meals during the severe winter weather.

Our lone member with musical talent helped to entertain at various Seniors Centres and Care Homes in the area on 8 occasions.

Members were presented with various Troop Awards this quarter, see photo's below.

I am pleased to announce that the Legion of Frontiersmen Independent U.K. Command has now been incorporated with the Legion of Frontiersmen Independent Command Canada. The UK Command still retains its autonomy regarding its day to day affairs and we look forward to "marching together" jointly in the right direction.


Proposed duties for 2014 by the LFIUKC:

To attend the xtra miles events in August and September as course marshals.
To march at the Eden Camp Veterans Parade.
To march at the Cannock Chase Annual ANZAC Day Parade.
 
Volunteer duties by the LFICC for the first three months of 2014 successfully carried out.
