I am pleased to provide the usual report of the LOFICC for July, August and September 2015.

Canada Day Celebrations:- Catering duties carried out at this national annual celebration.

Medical car:- On 2 occasions local residents were transported for medical treatment in Saskatoon.

Community in Bloom:- Our representative on this committee attended 4 planning meetings preparing for 2016.

Helping Hands:- On 21 occasions members visited sick and elderly people in hospital and nursing homes. During this quarter 14 security duties were carried out for private property and pets fed in the absence of their owners. 5 times meals were distributed to local house bound residents. Our members with musical talents again played 4 times at various senior centres and aged care homes.

Relay For Life:- Two of our members took part in this annual event for cancer survivors.

Global Village Charity Store:- On 15 occasions duties were carried out at this charity store.

I am most pleased to report that in the 90th Birthday Honours List announced by HRH Prince Leonard of the PHR, 3 of our members were recognised;
The Dame Grand Star of the Illustrious Order of Merit was awarded to
Deputy Chief Commissioner Dame Shirley Metcalfe DGSIOM.,  MCM., LOFICC
The Meritorious Conduct Medal (MCM) was awarded to
Captain W. Hanson OIOM., MCM LOFICC for more than 5 years service with the LOFICC.
The Meritorious Conduct Medal (MCM) was awarded to Captain A. Hanson OIOM., MCM LOFICC for more than 5 years service with the LOFICC.

Awards Day Ceremony:- Our annual Awards Day Ceremony was again this year held in the Melfort Masonic Temple on Sunday 16th August.
The LFICC was founded in 2005 and to mark a decade of service to the public members were presented with a commemorative badge.
There were 5 guests at the ceremony which was followed by a meal. 
A great day once again, enjoyed by all.

Xtra Miles Charity Walk:- Members provided marshalling services at the Xtra Miles Charity Walk.

Eden Camp:- Members attended the Eden Camp Veterans Annual Parade.

Merchant Navy Day:- Commandant Col (LF) Peter Penn-Smith attended the Merchant Navy Flag Day  ceremony.
 

This concludes my report of yet another very busy 3 months for the command which despite our active membership having depleted, we are still able to carry out a fair amount of volunteering duties.
