"Royal Hutt River Dedication Cricket Club"

The Philatelic Department of the Hutt River Postal Service is pleased to announce
the issue of its set of 2 Christmas 2016 Postage Stamps on 01 December 2016.

This year's issue, commemorates the Royal Hutt River Cricket Club, the first sports representatives of the PHR to be featured on a stamp issue.
 

ROYAL HUTT RIVER DEDICATION CRICKET CLUB

The Royal Hutt River Dedication Cricket Club (RHRDCC) is the national cricket team of the Principality of Hutt River.
The Club was  first formed in late 2005 as the Dedication Cricket Club, located in Mildura, Victoria,
by students of the Mildura Senior College.

The team formed so as to compete in the Willowfest Australian Cricket Club Championships,
held annually in Mildura from the 27th to the 30th of December.
For three years the team competed as a stand-alone club, before HRH Prince Leonard, in February 2008,
proudly Commissioned the team to represent the PHR, at which time the club changed its name to the
"Royal Hutt River Dedication Cricket Club. "

This year will see the team compete for the 8th Year in the Willowfest Championships as the RHRDCC,
representing the PHR and its Sovereign.

The $2.95 stamp features the founder and original Captain of the RHRDCC and Rhodes Scholar

Sir Geoff is dressed in his RHRDCC kit outside the UK Royal Household Cricket Club ground Windsor Castle,
where he had been invited to play with the Rhodes Scholars Cricket Club (the Cockatoos)
against the Royal Household Cricket Club.
